Simba Pride Safaris

Maasai men in red shuka gathered for a welcome

About us

born here,guiding here

Simba Pride Safaris is a small Tanzanian-owned operator based in Arusha. We plan and guide every trip ourselves, from the first WhatsApp message to the last airport drop.

Our story

from theSerengeti's edge

We grew up in the villages along the northern circuit, where the migration passes the back fence and the first job most of us had was watching cattle within sight of the park boundary. Guiding came naturally. Running our own company came later, after years driving for other operators and seeing how much of a guest's money never reached the people doing the work.

Simba Pride started with one Land Cruiser, a phone number and a promise: plan trips the way we would for our own family, price them honestly and pay the guides, cooks and porters properly. The Instagram page filled with sightings, the phone kept ringing, and the fleet grew to three vehicles. The promise has not changed.

The Simba Pride way

what wepromise

01

Honest prices

One invoice, park fees included, no surprise "activity fees" at the gate. If a lodge is worth the extra, we say so. If it is not, we say that too.

02

Guides who live here

Every guide is Tanzanian, licensed, and has driven these roads for years. They know which crossing point to wait at and which one the tour buses will crowd.

03

Small and personal

Six guests per vehicle at most, one point of contact from enquiry to farewell, and a WhatsApp number that is answered by a person, usually within the hour.

04

Money that stays

Community visits are arranged directly with families our guides know. Porters are paid to KPAP standards. We buy food, fuel and repairs in Arusha, not abroad.
